AUSSCO manufactured product

ACS Audiometer Calibration System.

The ACS is AUSSCO's calibration system for quickly and accurately calibrating audiometers and related hearing instruments. It is a product AUSSCO manufactures, sells, supports, and uses in calibration workflows.

ACS calibration systems

Product overview

Designed to make complete audiometer calibration faster, more accurate, and more repeatable.

Calibration workflow

Manual or automatic operation

The ACS can be used manually with minimal interaction or automatically on supported audiometers. In automatic workflows, the system controls the audiometer by serial or USB connection, sets test points, measures data, and can adjust values to the calibration standard.

  • Manual mode prompts the user for frequency, channel, and test level.
  • User-controlled mode lets the system control supported audiometers for selected test sections.
  • Fully automatic mode runs a full battery of tests with limited operator intervention.
  • Automatic calibrations capture pre-adjustment values for documentation.
Reports and records

Built-in reporting

ACS stores detailed tabular and plotted test results. Calibration certificates can include test results, audiometer and transducer serial numbers, microphone, mastoid, coupler details, calibration standards, color graphs, and company branding.

  • Custom calibration reports for service documentation.
  • Customer, company, instrument, headphone, and lead tracking.
  • Full-color reporting with pass/fail clarity.
  • Useful for in-house programs and calibration service providers.

Tests and capabilities

Exhaustive acoustic, electrical, room, and specialty instrument tests.

Audiometer acoustic tests

Output level, distortion, narrowband noise, white noise, speech noise, and speech level.

Audiometer electrical tests

Frequency, distortion, off level, rise time, fall time, overshoot, crosstalk, linearity, warble, pulse, and SISI.

Tympanometer tests

Probe output level, compliance, probe pressure, reflex output level, distortion, narrowband, linearity, and switching.

ABR and OAE tests

Probe/headset output level, distortion, intermodulation, and linearity for ABR and OAE instruments.

Room and handswitch tests

Handswitch testing and sound room acoustic levels using one-third octave band room checks.

Productivity

Exhaustive calibrations can be completed quickly, with longer workflows for more complex clinical models.

Features and specifications

Standards-based calibration support for common audiometer and transducer configurations.
